This project was a collaboration between us, Kuma Studios and Whiteroom Media. Together we had to create the branding, Flash video interfaces and DVD showreels for the DMU Art and Design show. Media Renegades had the task of editing the student showreels, animating the logos and authoring the DVD.

First off we started gathering all of the student′s video projects and collating them. This turned out to be one of the most time consuming tasks, as even after we had tracked down all the work we still had to convert it from a myriad of formats into something we could use on the DVD. Managing all this content and making sure the students provided their material in time for the show was a challenge, but we got there.

The next task was editing all the various student videos into complete showreels for the various courses. Then we animated the branded logos provided by Kuma Studios. A separate logo was used for each course, and the final animations were used on both the Flash interfaces used in the show and on the DVD menus.

The final stage of this project was creating the DVD menu structure. We took the concept designs from Kuma Studios and created various animations and transitions for the DVD menu. We then took these elements and created the DVD structure, which completed the authoring process. All that left was for us to get the DVDs duplicated and printed on ready for the show.
